A4447926 Jackson is a magnificent two year old gold neutered male Golden Retriever/Chow mix who was found in West Covina with his companion Millie (A4447930) on June 16th and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center. Weighing fifty-four pounds, Jackson walks okay on leash but would benefit from additional training. He is good with other large dogs but should not be around small dogs he doesn’t know. He is quite bonded to Millie and he loves to groom her. We think he will be good with children. Jackson will be the perfect indoor pet for an active individual or family living in a private home.

Baldwin Park Shelter A4373096
Tommy is a handsome three year old gold male Golden Retriever/Chow Chow mix who was found in Baldwin Park on December 10th and brought to the shelter. He was adopted and subsequently returned to the shelter on February 17th because he can be food aggressive. Weighing twenty-nine pounds, he walks well on leash. He is friendly to other dogs and was good with his former family’s children. Tommy needs some boundaries as to who is the alpha in his family, and we think he will be quite trainable. Tommy will make a good pet for an adult family living in a private home.

Just to let people know, I have a dog who is food aggressive and with some time and a little bit of training, you can fix it.

Plex is an emaciated, affectionate seven year old white and black male Dalmatian mix who was found in the City of Industry on February 7th and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center. Weighing forty-three pounds, Plex walks okay on leash and has probably had training. He is good with children and really likes other dogs and his tail goes into overdrive when he sees them. Plex will be the perfect indoor pet for a family living in a private home, and would be an exceptional addition to a multi-dog household.

Baldwin Park Shelter: A4206713 Gene Simmons is an energetic four year old brown brindle male purebred Boxer who was found in West Covina on January 23rd and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center. He has an Avid microchip and we have tried to contact his owner, but so far have been unsuccessful. Weighing seventy-six pounds, this well trained boy walks nicely on leash, knows how to sit on command and is well socialized. Eager to please, this happy-go-lucky, high energy dog is quite affectionate and playful. He is good with other dogs and great with children. Gene Simmons will be a fantastic companion for a family living in a private home.

Basil is a magnificent seven year old black and white male Landseer/Newfoundland mix who was found in Altadena on January 26th and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center. Weighing ninety-nine pounds, Basil walks beautifully on leash and sits on command. He seems to be okay with other dogs but should be introduced properly. He is badly in need of a grooming, after which he will be even more gorgeous than he already is! Basil will be the perfect indoor pet for an individual or family living in a private home; his lower energy level makes him an ideal companion for less-active household.

A4388346 Superior is a phenomenal two year old white female Husky mix with a sad story. Her former owner died and his wife then tied this friendly girl to a tree and left her unattended for several months until one of our officers convinced her to surrender the dog on January 20th whereupon she was brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center. Weighing seventy-three pounds, Superior walks very well on leash and sits and stays on command; we are virtually certain she is housebroken. She loves people; we aren’t sure how she is with other dogs but we think she would be fine with the right dog if properly introduced. Superior lives up to her name, and this well-behaved, well-mannered girl will be the perfect indoor pet for an active individual or family living in a private home.

Weighing fourteen pounds, Forrest walks okay on leash and will take easily to additional training. He gets along well with other dogs. A cooperative and affectionate lapdog who loves to be held, Forrest will be the perfect indoor pet for an active individual or family in any living situation.
